State Update #2 (11MAY24)


Just wanted to quickly adress what has been changed or added since the last state update (#1).

  1. Ditched the idea of fast paced zombie actions mostly this does not mean that zombie action will not be fast paced and entertaining it just wont be as big of a deal as i was planning it to be. In short less but still fast paced fights.
  2. Added grass and a material for the landscape. I deleted the assets from the last update since they did not align with my new goals for the game i will try not to  use assets from marketplace except when they are too daring or so hard for me to do.
  3. added a door system i am planning on different types of doors and different activation methods for doors for the levels currently working on the level 0 (not tutorial i don't plan on implementing a tutorial player will need to learn mechanics as they progress.)
  4. changed the zombie spawn system as a whole they will not  continously spawn anymore
  5. changed the global ilumination method.

I also have ideas for implementing character development as well as the marketplace and customizables for characters.
